In 1964 Michael Apted, a researcher for Seven Up, interviewed a group of seven year old children from diverse backgrounds from all over England, asking about their lives and their dreams for the future. Every seven years, Apted has been back to talk to the same subjects, examining the progression of their lives. This is the fourth program in the series. At 28 the children are now adults. Two declined to participate. The others speak of their present lives, how they see themselves in relation to what they have said in earlier programs, achievements and regrets, and their hopes for the future.
